GEN and Its Subsidiaries Join Forces to Restore the Viña del Mar Botanical Garden

In a meaningful show of environmental and community commitment, more than 40 volunteers from GEN and its subsidiaries—AGUNSA, CMC, REPORT, TPV, and SOLMIN—took part in an ecological restoration day at the National Botanical Garden in the Valparaíso region.

This initiative is part of the ongoing recovery efforts following the devastating wildfire that affected over 90% of the garden’s 395 hectares in February of last year. During the activity, volunteers planted 200 trees that had previously been used as part of GEN’s year-end celebration, giving them a second life with an ecological purpose.

“We took this opportunity to promote collaboration and connect with colleagues from other companies within the group, all united by a common goal: to contribute to the conservation and improvement of a symbolic space for the communities of Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, and surrounding areas,” said Nicolás Calvo, AGUNSA’s Deputy Manager of Sustainability.

This initiative reflects GEN’s and its affiliated companies’ strong commitment to sustainability, circular economy practices, and the regeneration of local ecosystems, reaffirming their purpose of creating value beyond business.
