{"id":3370,"date":"2022-11-29T14:53:52","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T17:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gencompanies.com\/cpt-towage-christens-its-two-new-tugboats\/"},"modified":"2023-03-01T16:03:19","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T19:03:19","slug":"cpt-towage-christens-its-two-new-tugboats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gencompanies.com\/en\/cpt-towage-christens-its-two-new-tugboats\/","title":{"rendered":"CPT TOWAGE CHRISTENS TWO NEW TUGBOATS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CPT Towage christens its two new tugboats at Terminal Portuario Valpara\u00edso<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>CPT Towage<\/strong> carried out the blessing and christening ceremony of two new tugboats that will join its fleet in Chile, under the names of Coloso and Poderoso, at berth 7 of the <strong>Terminal Portuario Valpara\u00edso<\/strong> (TPV).<\/p>\n\n<p>During the activity, the CPT Group unified its tugboat unit under the new CPT Towage brand for all of America, along with highlighting the investments of 20 million USD made in 2022 in the country to renew its fleet.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cAs part of our development strategy as CPT towage, we defined that it was time to unify under the name CPT Towage the various commercial brands with which we operate in the different countries of America. In CPT Towage brand we acknowledge our values, which are: safety, excellence, efficiency and commitment; confirming our commitment to continue growing and taking the good name of CPT to the markets and customers that require our services,\u201d stated <strong>Juan Pablo Larach<\/strong>, CEO of CPT Towage.<\/p>\n\n<p>The two new tugboats were designed by Canadian naval architecture firm <strong>Robert Allan<\/strong>, under specifications aimed at port work. They have Azimuthal type propulsion, equipped with two main engines, of 6,772 HP in total, which grant them a pulling capacity of more than 86 tons of fixed-point pulling. In addition, they have a fire control system (FIFI1) and everything necessary to respond to a maritime emergency. These tugboats have a remote monitoring system, which allows data and artificial intelligence models to be used to reduce fuel consumption, predict the need for maintenance and to better plan commercial activities.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, the company took the opportunity to share the launching of its new website, where the concept of &#8220;unification&#8221; is reinforced.<\/p>\n\n<p>CPT Towage currently has a fleet of 51 tugboats that operate in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Panama and Mexico.
